Early intervention involves infants, infants and toddlers up to 3 years of age, with a history of high risk and early diagnosed neurological or neurodevelopmental disorder.

These are specialized therapeutic intervention programs of occupational therapy, speech therapy and physiotherapy in which there is active participation of parents through the guidance of therapists.

The purpose of early intervention is to reduce or possibly eliminate deficits in the development of children during the first years of life.
